Can i use a 47re case?

Ok so im rebuilding my transmission and need a new case for it. Its a 48re trans out of a 04.5 600 series cummins. I cant find a 48re case for sale anywhere but i have found a 47re case out of a 99 ram. I have all the internals and everything for a 48re but i just need a case. Will a 47re case work? and if yes is there anything i will need to make it work or anything i need to know about it? thanks in advance
