Calling all 3rd Gen Owners,..Need Your Help!
That is normal... When I put the spacers in the front of my 05 it was already may of 05.. they still didn't have the specs out for the fromt end alingment.. My cousin is a parts manager at a dodge dealer and told me just to align it to 04 specs the front ends were the same..
I hope they get it figured out, I had to have the steering shaft replaced. Is there any noise made when you feel the play... or is it just a silent float. Mine had some play in it but it also clicked.
subspd, No, there is no noise. Just loose. We can't figure it out. I hope your problem is solved.
I see you're from my hometown, I went to Churchill Highscool, and I miss SA so bad. Can't wait until my wife and I can get back there.
I'll keep up you up to speed on what they find.

I have not looked at my dodge yet but every other truck I've owned has a set screw with a lock nut on top of the steering box. If your steering is loose just loosen up the lock nut and tighten the screw about 1/8 to 1/4 turn and check your steering again-That should fix it. Be careful not to go too tight or your steering wheel will be hard to turn. Good Luck
