Well my Momis toying with the idea of getting a 3/4 ton Megacab CTD and I wanted to hear from those that own them what are your general thoughts on the truck. I know the motor and tranny are rock solid but are there any things that come to mind that you don't like or like?


We would be putting the sled deck on my truck (in my sig) on it and use it for snowmobile trips to BC and having the extra cab room of the MC would be very nice. At the moment my truck is a little cramped for 3 people and a dog.

Love my megacab outside of a few things...

on the laramie...no digital climate control?? sheesh...

the cruise control is erratic at times..

..the fan controls are nice on the wheel like in the powerjoke....

...outside that, make sure she gets a good deal, add a smarty programmer, and try and wipe the smile off your face!

Whenever it's time to go I'm volunteered by my friends because of the room. Cruise control works great on my 6spd. Wish I would've bought it with adjustable pedals for the wife. Electric rear slider is about $1200 extra when bought aftermarket. The rear windows are glued into place. The light grey seats show every bit of dirt. I had to buy seat covers from Geno's. Also, get the towing mirrors.

I almost bought a QC I was ready without ever driving a mega (I never liked short beds)
then the day before I went to buy the QC I decided I better at least see how they where on room. My sons car seat barely fit in a QC.
when I put my sons care seat in back I could set it on the seat and still walk by(front seat and back seat) to latch the inner seat belt/latch, plus with my seat all the way back he still could never touch the back of my seat and I'm 6'2"
The room cant be beat!!!
