bully dog exhaust?

I can get a hell of a deal on Bully Dog products, so I was wondering about their exhaust. I was looking at finally putting a muffler on my truck instead of the stock straight pipe. I do want to quiten it down a bit, but I still want it to sound tough. I dont like droning though. I have been thinking about the 4" or5" systems. Does anyone know if the Bully Dogs sound any good? I would prefer getting the 5", but if it drones to bad even with the muffler, I want to go to 4".

I have the 04 305/555 motor, and Ive read on this site that the Mrp or whatever soudns like crap. I want something worthy of replacing my straight pipes. Any suggestions on teh bullydog exhaust?

mbrp...

I have a 2003 305/555 truck. I have the mbrp 4 inch exhaust and an afe stage 2 intake. It really seemed to help the low end of the truck. In the cab I cannot tell much difference in the sound but outside it sounds great. The 5 inch systems are pretty loud from what I have heard. I am in Irving if you want to hear the way mine sounds.

BossHogg,

Check the muffler, I think the BD systems use a hollow can and no packing, works well but will make more volume etc. You had mentioned quieting things down etc, if you really want to do that you need a system with a packed muffler like the MBRP systems. They have a ceramic blanket and stainless steel wool packing materials in their mufflers. They also have 100% welded hangers that re use the stock rubber mounts on the truck and make install real easy!
