I have read that the OE are the best way to go. Some recommend the Greenstuff.

I went with AutoZone Duralast because of cost. I can't tell any difference from the original set on the front. The Duralast also has a lifetime warranty and I plan to keep the truck for a long time.

I had more than 105k on mine and they still had some left but was making a long trip through the Rockies so changed them early. Rears still have lots left.

Went to 120k on first tires, brakes, shocks. Only "upgrade" (change from stock) was shocks (to Bilstein). The other two were replaced with identical to factory.

I replaced mine with Duralast premium from AutoZone. Pretty inexpensive, about $86 for front and rear sets. Lifetime warrenty. Definatly improved the braking on my truck. I'd use those pads again in a heart beat.

I currently use EBC Greenstuff pads on the front and rear of my truck. The front part# DP71650 is considered their 7000 series or supreme pad. I have part # DP61267 on the rear which is their 6000 series pad and a softer compound. I feel that these pads combined with the EBC rotors provide a vast improvement in stopping power over the OEM brakes. They are available by ordering them at Pep Boys, Summit, and online at Autoanything.

The OEM pads are very good if you do decide on OEM; however, do not purchase the Valu-line pads from the dealer. They are not the same as the pads on your truck. The Valu-line pads tend to squeal, crack and wear out in a short period of time. I had these pads on two of our company vehicles and they wore out fast. They are total rubbish. Just be aware, the true OEM pads can be difficult to locate.

Ditto! I got about 60K from my OEMs, I switched to greenstuff. I am at 119K and still have considerable pad left. The rotor was also upgraded to the EBC Slotted/dimpled with pad change. Braking was GREATLY improved. Worth the money IMHO. Good luck!!
