brake lines
I replaced the rear rotors and pads, and the left caliper 2 weeks ago. well, the past couple days I have been getting a stong burning smell coming from the right rear rotar. I figured it was the caliper going out so i replaced that one as well. I bled the brake line, but now it isnt firm. I can still rotate the wheel. I would undo the bleed nut, and my wife would push the brake pedal all the way in. then I would tighten it up, she would let off the pedal, and we would repeat. did I do something wrong?
Get one of those cheap bleeder kits from the auto parts store. It's a bottle with a magnet on the side, and a clear tube that fits over the bleeder.
Pump up and hold the brake pedal. Crack the bleeder. Close the bleeder. Repeat until there's no bubble in the clear hose.
