bought an 06 mega cab
Hey, new to the site so.........hey ya'all.
So I figure i'm gettin a good deal,,,,,,,17k CAD. for an 06 mega cab laramie with 200km.Thats 130k miles for you south of the border Dodgers. I flew into Edmonton Alberta to check it out, and ya.....body has some work ahead of it but the interior is mint. Besides the leaky trans cooler and line it looks and feels tight. So i buy it. Now I only have to make it 10 hours on the road and I am home........ Ya......I made it 2 (the next city) and I was starting to get a wee bit on the "*** did I get myself into" feeling. So I decided to do all the fluids and filters with a complete flushing of all the components. Only things that I was told were clean were the diffs and the transfer case. So now I get the first maintence bill for 800 bones.....But i start feeling a little peace of mind. The truck had a surge in the temp gauge. Slowly climb to just over half then thermostat would open up and drift its way back down to just below half. AND no hot air out of the heater.....Through the Rogers Pass.... For those of you who dont know its in the heart of the Rockies. GOOD TIMES!
Sorry about the long read....... K. now the fixes. I have to pass a provincial inspection 95$. Thermostat, 65$ from Dodge. I flushed out the heater core with a pressure sprayer and voila....heat, Lights,lots of lights, 90$ from lordco. Trans oil cooler used, 50$, cooler lines freebie( got a buddy that rebuilds lots of Dodges) Daytime running lights module 24$ lordco, new windshield freebie( I work at Apple Auto Glass)Ball joints installed upper and lower(spicer) 900$, new airfilter 90$( got an air raid CAI on her)old filter was a mess! New axel u joints(AC delco) 61$each at lordco, all the labour to go over the beast with a fine tooth comb.....freebie cause I did it all on the weekend.
Oh ya.......it has a 6 inch lift, airbags, and 20 inch MKW's with 37x13.5 toyo MT's on her!!! Its white.......solid white with kaki leather and a stock dvd player in the crazy huge back seat. SWEET
All in all sweet deal and I need to toss out a HUGE THANK YOU TO ALL WHO POST. I have been using the site for info on how to and what brands to get for no worry performance. Ill be posting some pics soon, just gotta git-r-dun!

Thats AWSOME!! Everybody that has seen it so far has commented on how big it is but wow, now I can let em know that I'm rockin the MANVAN!lol
