Blue Sediment in Fuel

I just changed my Fuel Filter in my 06 CTD. Followed the instructions found here and I made sure to drain the fuel filter holder. Installed a new Fuel Filter (Wix Gold), used some diesel on the O ring and buttoned the whole thing back up. Primed the fuel system twice, then fired it up. No leaks no trouble.

I then pull my container from under the truck and look at the honey colored fuel. I could see very minute particle of blue stuff floating around. I swear the blue stuff looks like gasket material. Should I be concerned? I can post a pic if needed.

The little specs are all colored blue (like gasket blue).

Makes me wonder. Maybe part of the gasket got caught in the threading of the filter top? This your first filter change? Might pay to drain it again and see if you get the same stuff. other guys will chime in with ideas I hope. Thats all I can think of. I was told that I needed to make sure the canister was very clean before you put the new filter in. Good Luck
