Got one for my old truck from NAPA 2 years ago for $15. Now they want $50. Picked up a universal cord from a local Fleetpride for under 20 bucks. Works fine.

 

You can never tell about what dealers will do. I bought a new Ram 1500 hemi in '03 (hated the truck, but that's another story). It had a factory tow package on it. Being the cynic I am, I checked the truck over extra well, making sure everything that was supposed to be there was. Factory two package trucks come with the pigtail to hook up a trailer brake controller. My truck didn't have one in it. Sales manager told me they didn't come with 'em any more, but I could buy one in the Parts Department for $20. I went over there to check things out. They had just a plastic bin full of 'em. Not separetly packaged. I went back to the sales manager & told him I KNEW the pigtail was included with the tow package & I wasn't paying anything for it & if he wanted to sell the truck, he'd best go get me one. He did. I just can't imagine a five star BIG Miami dealership being so cheap as to rob a piece out of trucks, then sell it back!
