Guys, how much smoke should my truck make when running around 70 and go wot to pass?

I have yet to hit WOT, but when passing someone at around 70 I use half gas in the Tow/Haul mode, it won't kick down a gear and smoke everyone out, but it hauls around the slow offender.

My truck hardly makes a haze even with the tst on 3/1, may have somethin to do with the diff in trans though.

I wouldnt think a stock truck would smoke at all, not visibly anyway, maybe a little on the fender over time though.

 

Nope no mods,bone stock. It smokes enough to see,not a haze but black diesel smoke.

 

Huh, well next time your in Ga, gime a shout, maybe you can have your truck teach my truck how to smoke...

Mine does it too, really black smoke and total stock. It's real cool to black out some joker behind you who's been acting a fool.......

 

Mine never even let out a puff the whole time I had it...kinda disappointing.

 

I think part of the story is being left out. How long were you cruisen at 65? Mine will not smoke as much at WOT if I have been running over 2k for a period of time. But if I am just putting along with trafic at 65 and the turbo is not in it all and then go WOT she will send out smoke screens.

 

Mine is the same way. If I am just cruising for while with the cruise on under 2000 on the tac. and then hammer it I get a soot screen for a couple seconds then it clears up as the turbo spools up.

 

who said anything about going 65?

 

mine never smoked when stock but now its like a storm cloud
