Biodiesel in 2006 CTD
Again, not trying to stir anything up- but if you're going to go to the expense of installing gauges that usually means you have (or are planning on) some "warranty-voiding" mods. If the truck is otherwise stock, why gauges? I guess they do have some entertainment value.
On the other hand, I've come to the conclusion that your warranty is only as good as your dealer. Back on topic: yes, I agree B5+ will "void your warranty". But so will a lot of other things that have proven fairly benign for our CTDs. Use at your own risk.

I'm all for being "green" but Big oil is still making a ton of $$ off any thing that isn't B100 and made by you in your garage.
As far as my new truck warranty goes I put the gauges on because I missed Knowing what was going on with my truck (My 01 was mildly bombed) and I wanted to know when to shut it down when I stopped (turbo cool down) and entertainment and because I bought/traded them for a Amsoil bypass that would not work on my new truck.
I want to wait tell the warranty is up but will see DTR makes it hard!

You waited a year and a half to ask again?
If you go to http://www.biodiesel.org/buyingbiodi...lfuelingsites/ you will see a list of retailers in your area.
Took all of 9 seconds to check google and post the link...........
I've run up to B50 in my 04.5, with no problems. I changed my filter after my first tank, but no probs whatsoever.
My best mileage is at about B20.
I average about 20mpg mixed city/hwy driving while empty.
Hwy driving only I can get about 24 mpg out of a tank.
And giving big oil and OPEC the finger certainly is a great incentive to run bio.

TOO MANY 2006 trucks that had injector problems after using bio for me to even consider the stuff. Stick with #2 or ULSD and an additive, much less overall risk. My dealership told me that bio could have warranty issues over injectors and such.
I don't think it's worth it to try it.

I have been making my own bio for 7 months now. Running about 35 gallons a week in my 06 at 50-100% bio depending on the temp. I have had no problems other than filter plugging/gelling if the temps dropped more than I expected. Truck runs good. Cant imagine paying to fill up at $5 per gallon
.
That being said, there is risk and more than anything I would keep a fuel filter handy and drain your fuel bowl more regularly.
