I pour straight used frier oil in the diesel barrel. just use an old milk pipe line sock to strain it. been doing it for 4 years now. the john deere with the "P" series pump can get up to 50% of pure veggie oil without any troubles. the smaller stanadyne rotary pumps with little pencil injectors can only get to about 15-20% and then they go down hill, just to thick to get good atomization. little more smoke, takes a couple more spins to start the engine, but gained about 100 rpm on the tach pulling in normal conditions. to scared to put it into the truck though. it gels at 40 degrees about.
I get it from the local bakery for free. get about 10-15 usable gallons each week.
