Best Programer For An 06

What Is The Best Programer (box) For A 2006 With Auto? I Don't Want To Do Anything To The Tranny. How Much Will A 2006 Auto Take With Out Any Upgrades 30hp, 60hp, 90hp,??????????????

The answer is not rocket science. It may take 35-50 HP ******* it, may take 75-100 if you drive like Pop-Pop.

To be safe, on the older trucks they used to say 65 HP or so is safe for the stock auto.

If it were ME, I would get something that is inherently mild, with no adjustability, (aka, "towing box"). No sense in getting something that is going to take you above and beyond what is healthy for your trans when you know in advance you are not trying to upgrade it.

P.J.'s right. The stock 48re is really only good for a stock CTD. If you keep it under 65hp and don't drive like a wild man it'll last. Anymore and you shorten the life quite a bit depending on driving habits.
