Bell Crank Housing & Sensor
Hello Everyone,
I have a 2003 Dodge Ram 2500 2WD, CTD.
I bought it used about 4 months ago, 30K miles now, and just beginning to learn about the Cummins Diesel engine.
About a week ago the service engine light came on so I took it into the local Dodge dealer. The truck has been there for 5 days now. The mechanic diagnosed the problem as the Bell Crank housing and sensor. They tell me it must be relaced as a unit, sensor and housing. They also tell me the part is on national back order. I have had that response the last 2 days I have called for a status report.
I guess my question would be has anyone out there experienced such a problem? Is that part so rare or often replaced that it is on back order??
I bought the Max-care warranty, so Chrysler is paying for a rental, but the PT Cruiser, although nice, just is not cutting it. I miss my Dodge
Any thoughts or info. would be greatly appreciated. Thank-you in advance.
