I think they go out in the 3/36,000 waranty. Read your waranty book to be sure.

Depends, I bought the "gold" package extened warranty with my truck, and it covers almost everything, check your book to find out.

extended warranty paid for itself the first time I did ball joints, and U joints, not sure what your warranty covers, I say go for it, if they say no, tell em thats ok, I want some good ones for it anyway.

They might be covered under a extended service contract but not under factory warranty after 3/36.They are NOT powertrain.

Might be worth a try...

Somebody on here awhile back got thier dealer to cover it under the 7/70 powertrain warranty (can't remember if you got that in '05) because "the ball joints are part of the powertrain on a 4x4".

If they did it was by accident.Like I mentioned more then likely under a SERVICE CONTRACT.But they are not covered past 3/36 on the factory warranty. They are not powertrain.Neither are front wheel bearings,4x4 or 2wd.Rear wheel bearings are. There fully lubed. So they consider them part of powertrain.

Well, I lucked out. My dealer agreed to do them for 250.00 (not sure where the came out with that number) as good faith I think they called it. They sponsor my drag car and then a month after I paid the 250.00, I got a check in the mail for my 250.00. That was pretty awesome of them, but as mentioned already it wasn't part of the warranty for sure.
