bad slip yoke ?

I was wondering how much slop should there be in the rear slip yoke. That is, the output shaft of t-cass and drive line connection. I currently have about 30 thousands play side to side and 10 thousands up and down. Is this ok or what? I am trying to find a GOOD clunk when I shift. I just replaced the ujoint at the slip yoke and Im thinking that the bad ujoint might of damage the slip yoke. thanks.
