Angry Bad Pinion bearing

Well I've been having a horrible rumble in the rear of my truck when I slow down or accelerate. I dropped it off at the dealer today, and they called and said the pinion bearing was bad. I'm still under warranty thank goodness....34000 miles on it. They had to order the part, so I should get it back tomorrow.
I've changed the oil once since new. Has anyone else had anything like this happen? Seems like Dodge is having allot of drive train problems?!?!

I had my rear diff "rebuilt" with the same cause - under warranty. It was time to change the diff fluid anyway (about 20k mi on the truck at the time) so that was a freebie. Known problem to the dealers, under warranty, problem fixed so not an issue to me anyway - search for some posts on this topic, it's not new news. Call it a 'factory feature' of AAM. Hopefully this has been fixed by the '04s.
