Bad Mileage with new Injectors?

So guys-
I've been taking it easy since the dealer warrantied my 6 injectors perhaps 1000 miles ago. Now that I have shiny new injectors, my mileage is horrific.

I've gone through 3/4 of a tank and have ~300 miles on the trip odo... I don't go over 65 mph and I've been taking it easy with my right foot. No towing in the past 1K miles and sure, a bunch of stop & go. It's cold here and I'm clearly using winter blend fuel, but come on.... is this really but perhaps 1/3 of the 300 miles has been highway... is this horrific mileage normal???

How long should I wait to see if the "injectors wear in" or is it something else wrong?

Thanks...

Even before they replaced the injectors I was getting 500 miles off a tank, with bad injectors... so.... I figured I'd at least see ~250 at 1/2 a tank given that it has been more stop & go lately.... but will the stop & go REALLY drop it that much??

Sounds like something else is going on. Any codes? I'm seeing 400 miles at 1/2, and I'm currently at ~635 or so and expecting maybe 700 or so on this tank. I do have 3.73's and the tank mod though (Hmmmmm... maybe I should mod my sig).

I just went outside (it's 40F outside and dropping) and the truck has been sitting for five hours now. There is no "check engine light on" normally during driving, but I got a P0514 when I did the key-3-times. Is that just because the truck wasn't actually on?

I will try it again tomorrow after I drive for awhile and get to work's parking lot to make sure the code is still there.

That's some kind of battery code isn't it?

I can't see how that is related... but I've been wrong once or twice

And yeah, I kind of figured with new injectors I'd be getting around 600 mi per tank...

Do a REAL mileage check and see what the mileage really is.

What do you mean a real mileage check? I always hand calculate (if that's what you are referring to) since I have no overhead console to screw up the MPG calcs.. cuz it's an ST,... so while I'm at the mercy of the fuel gauge a bit, if anything it's being NICE about how much fuel I have left (i.e. it says 3/4 and I probably have less than 3/4) so if anything, the mileage is worse...

Stop and go city traffic is brutal on mileage. I live in Chicago... I know.

I agree with stop & go being bad... but with me being easy on the foot... my hand calc came out at 14.8 MPG on this tank (as an example). That sucks since about 1/2 is highway (figure at 65 mph I should get ~20 mpg (2200 RPM)... and the other 1/2 is stop & go. Would it really pull it down that much, meaning in effect, I'm getting 10 mpg in the city when I really really granny it? I find that hard to believe....

I've seen that number running 50/50 highway and city with winter fuel. I think your truck is fine.
