Bad Injectors?
Truck has been taking longer to start than normal. We had some temps in the upper 40's / low 50's a few nights ago and it wouldn’t start at all. Finally around noon after warming up I finally got it to start. It has also shut off on me a few different times; each time was after idling for several minutes or more or after long drives. I would stop and it would idle ok, then you give it some pedal and it bogs down and cuts off, but always fired right back up.
I have no white smoke at start up that I've noticed. I did have a buddy check for codes and I'm getting a grid heater problem, which after thinking about it I don't believe it cycled on the other night when it was cold. Normally the voltage drops and the dome light dims when it kicks on.
Even with the grid heater not working, that shouldn't cause a no start with temps only in the upper 40's would it? From what I’ve found searching past posts it sounds like an injector issue?
Any advice would be appreciated, or any other things I should check would be appreciated.
