Interesting... thanks for the clarifications Ramrodd & others. I've never heard such a thing. Guess it's another reason not to go beneath the 1/4 tank mark !!

And if you have an in-tank lift pump, it makes sense to keep it cool.

no one can tell me about this? couple people tell me to watch out for it, but no one has had problem or if it is even a problem?

I had one issue about a year ago when they first switched over to ULSD. I have had my dual two micron filters for quite awhile before then and still to this day. I did gell up one night after having my truck parked outside in -8 degree weather for around 12 hours and not being plugged in. I was able to get it in a heated garage overnight and it didn't happen again. I believe it was not because of my filtration but an issue at the Speedway station where I filled up at earlier that week. They actually ran out of diesel. And this was a large truck stop. The people there told me they were having issues with getting the fuel delivered due to a mixing problem for the winter fuel. They obviously didn't mix it correctly at that time but I've since not had one problem in as cold temps.

Use the correct amount of additive or mix #1/#2 accordingly and you won't have problems... I have 2 micron systems on both my trucks, both parked outside, usually not plugged in, no problems in subzero temps. I use additive myself.

Same here! No problems even when I forgot to use the additives. I use 16oz Powerservice White bottle in the winter at each fuel up and about 8 oz. in the summer at fill ups. ( when I remember! )
