Bad injector?

I went out and started my truck this morning and it started just fine, but after acouple seconds it skipped once on idle and died. I started it again and it was fine then, after it was warm I took i was on my way to walmart and once I hit the big highway it had some hangtime at about 2100 on 3rd, 4th, and 5th gear under hard acceleration any thoughts?

Mine did something similar one time. I took it out and ran it hard and it cleared up and hasn't done it again. I have no other help for you though.

Yeah, it's a hard thing to explain unless you can hear it, drive it, and feel it.

Did it throw any codes. It could be a bad injector hanging open when the rail pressure is high. Just had new injectors put in mine and when you would rev it sitting in park and let off it would just hang at high rpm, then it would sound like it missed and idle down a little then hang and then drop some more and hang until it finally idled all the way down. It was because the injectors were sticking open and continuing to fuel that cylinder. Mine also wouldn't start but, i had several bad injectors. If you have an infared thermometer you can shoot the temp on each cylinder. When my motor was cold (just started) all but two were with in 10deg. of each other and i know that my number one was bad and it was 50deg cooler than the other four and i'm pretty sure that number six was the other one that was bad because it was about thirty off of the other four. I equated this to the over fueling and cooling the cylinder off at an idle.
