Is this a bad injector
This happened on Oct. last rear. The truck had 15000 miles. I had just dropped off my trailer and returned home. This was a 15 mile trip, when I stoped at my house the engine lite came on and oil pressure went to zero. When I droped off the trailer there was no oil anywhere. The #3 injector stuck open.
The dealer fixed the injector under warranty. This was 5000 miles ago,no problems so far. I was and am still worried about damage done to the turbo and engine. The dealer changed the oil when they replaced the injector, and so did I when I got It back from the shop.
Good luck with your truck Dan_K

Update
I've got my mileage back. Filled up and took a 300 mile rt drive with trailer.
150 miles at 11,500# combined 50% of the drive was downhill I was in the 20 mpg range, coming back I was with 2 pallets of travertine tile, 15,500# combined and uphill 50% of the drive. When I got home, my average was 17 mpg, and 300 miles burned just over half a tank of fuel.
I've got the airraid reuseable drop in filter. My take on it is,
I had to clean it 2 times, as the first time got it looking new, but inside all the creases was still dirty, after the first cleaning, my mpg were still bad. I took it out again and instead of using the spray bottle cleaner that is referred to in the cleaning directions I actuall poured the cleaning solution on the filter which drenched it, then cleaned it with a little preasure from my spray nozzle on the hose. This got it pretty clean but I don't see how it can ever be as clean as a new filter.
I know that these reusable drop-in's all claim higher florates than the stock paper filter, and this is a true statement, however once the filter is dirty, and you clean it, getting it 90% of new (I'd say more like 80% of new). Drive again and clean again, eventually your filters florate is going to deteriorate as I've seen with this one. I'm switching back over to the paper filters, in fact the Napa paper claims a higher florate than the Mopar unit, and I'll get the same fresh airflow everytime I put a new one in.

i just replaced my paper bhaf with a amsoil dry filter and it seems to so be smoking more. My milage also seems to be done. The amsoil filter whisles like crazy so it would seem to have lots of flow. Has anyone seen a drop in fuel mileage with a replacement filter?
