Bad Fuel!

This is what happens when bad fuel is used
This truck has 150k miles on it

Piston #1

Piston #3

The injectors got clogged up and failed which caused the pistons to overheat and burn up.

The pictures are of a friends truck
My friend never changed his fuel filter, drove the truck hard and put it away wet...etc, The truck just had some hard starting issues and blew a little smoke so we popped the hood and saw that the head was cracked so we took the head off saw more cracks and found two melted pistons........
so does anybody have a used head for sale?

I always get my fuel where they go through a lot of it quickly. Everytime I see somebody say they bought their fuel at Wal Mart or Kroger (where you get $.03 off with their cards) I cringe.

DJ, why do you cringe about Walmart fuel? The one I (TRY) to go to ALL the time is busy busy busy. They only have one pump (1 handle each side). They have to go through the fuel constantly. I don't even have one of the .3 cards.........I just go because I trust (ed) them and their fuel. I have never had a problem one with their fuel. Now, a Kroger may be another story. Please enlighten me on why you think Walmart fuel is bad? Thx.

Well in Texas you're probably ok getting fuel at Wal mart everybody and their brother has a Ram down there or so it seems Up here where I'm at the Wal marts just don't go through enough diesel I won't chance it but I do get most of my LSD from a Home Depot where all the contractors fuel up. Not a truck stop but it's a brand new store and already the diesel pumps got what looks like about 10 years worth of diesel fuel and oil on the ground where these trucks mark their spots

I got one crappy tank of fuel from Wal-Mart once and that was all it took back when ULSD came out. Never been back. Always go to a high volume truck stop real close to the house. MPG on the fuel here is as good as when I used LSD. Very close.
