B&M Transmission plug....

B&M Transmission plug....

I put one of these in today and cannot keep the plug from leaking. Any Ideas.....

Did you use the gaskets they provide? Mine has been on for almost two years and never a leak. You have to make sure to hold the nut on the inside while you tighten the outside....

I have installed a few B&M transmission plugs on several of my vehicles in the past. I did have one that leaked from the little drain plug after installation. The rubber seal on the plug wasn't doing it's job so I removed the plug and used teflon paste on the threads and that stopped the leak.

It is leaking from the little plug in the center. I thought they would have some sort of rubber seal or somthing but it was just a metal plug. I am going to have to drain it again tonight and put some RTV on it to see if that stops it.

Come to think of it, I think I just put some Black RTV on the plug because I was afraid it might leak. It worked....

That center plug is a pipe plug. Use a back up wrench on the larger nut and tighten the smaller one a little more.
