The leveling kit helped tighten things up and reduce body roll.
The leveling kit shifts weight to the back wich is where all the bounce comes from because the rear springs are so stiff. Add weight to the back and it smooths out. The best ride is when you are towing. You killed two birds with one stone. I started this post to get ideas for a smooth ride without having to haul sand bags. Got a couple ideas from this post but im gonna start with the sand.

I don't mind it too much, but I only use it to tow my 5th wheel. My buddy change his out to the Monroe reflex shocks and he says it rides fine now.

I found installing a 150# fifth wheel hitch in the back of my '06 2500 ST 4x4 5.9 improved the ride. Of course the hitch was for our 11,600# fiver, the improved ride while not towing was a side effect.

Another option would be to install the mini packs or even the dual purpose leaf packs from Lorenz. The progressive springs from Carli might work for you too.

One of the reasons I bought the Dodge was cuz of the way it rode ... luv it ... I test-drove the Chevy and it rode like a car and sounded like one too ... I hated that. The new Bilsteins made the ride firmer and more controlable imo ... less corner roll and less lateral bouncing over washboard. Luv the way my truck rides ... hook the plow on up front and 500 lbs in the box and she still rides like a truck

I see you did a level kit. Did you do the spacer only or did you upgrade the springs too? If so what springs did you go to? Sounds like your saying the bilsteins made the ride stiffer?

I only put the spacers on cuz I had to for plowing. I would have replaced the springs instead but after alot of research, emails and phone calls couldn't find anything better for what I wanted them for ... plowing without a harsher ride and that would hold up for many years as the stock springs do. I added the Timbrens instead and made the right choice luckily. The Bilstien 5100s I put on didn't make the overall ride stiffer but they did firm up the sloppy feeling when throwing the weight of the cummins around ... cornering and rough terrain (whoops and washboard).
