auto trans issues

I have an 05 4x4, my issue is when I engage into drive the truck wants to take off like a raped ape even with the brakes applied. The longer the brakes are applied the more it wants to take off. Once driving it shifts fine and smooth but it short shifts itself and lugs the motor down. Is this the torque converter or one of the solenoids? Thank you for your time.

I'll start out by stating that, thankfully, I haven't yet had this issue. However, I have read other posts describing the same symptoms where the torque converter was the likely culprit. That's where I would focus my attention.
