I've noticed my tranny making a weird shift quite a bit lately. I'm in the Memphis area, and wondering what I should look for in a shop, what questions to ask, that kind of stuff.

 

I'm not noticing any noises with mine (yet, knock on wood, 120k mi). If you do take it to a shop, one of the things they may ask is when was the last time you changed your tranny fluid and filter?

I have never worked on my tranny, but if you handy and when you're changing the filter and fluid, maybe you'll see something loose. I'm not sure what you should look for (aside from the ban and its fastener), but maybe others will chime in.
