ATF+4 Price Increase ?

What's up with this?
I just did the trans oil/filter on my wife's Caravan and used the ATF+4 I had on the shelf instead of the original ATF+3. I had it for my 48RE and bought it for something like $16/gallon. I just picked up some more to have for my next service and they clipped me for $25/gallon! What's in this stuff?
