anyone use slick 50?

Was pumping fuel the other day a guy in a late 80's model ford 7.3 was pumping on the other side. We start talking fuel mileage and stuff when he tells me he is about to roll over 400k on his ferd. Then he tells me the secret to his success, "slick 50" He adds 2 quarts of slick 50 to the oil every 50k miles. He says he has a gasser with over 400k at the house. Anyone believe in this stuff?

Duralube goes in everything engine I have. I had a 67 Chrysler that I drove
70 miles with no oil pressure due to a twisted off drive in the pump. The car never overheated, yeah the lifters rattled a little bit, but it got me back home. I put another pump and drive and oil pump back in it and it still held 5o lbs if oil pressure. The engine still runs today.

There used to be a really indepth article on Slick 50.... The later stages of the article they talked about the law suit that Dupont had brought against them. Dupont was trying to get the legal system to allow them to STOP selling "Teflon" to the Slick 50 manufacturer. Of course, Dupont lost. I remember the first part of the article talking about the Teflon being held in suspension by the rest of the contents of the bottle of "overhaul in a bottle". Problem was, when the engine was allowed to sit down for a period of time, the teflon would fall out of suspension and settle near the bottom of the oil pan. When you fired the engine up, it would send all the teflon particles straight to the filter all at once and put your filter into bypass. End result, engines getting hurt. Dupont was trying to get their "WITH DUPONT TEFLON" sticker off the bottle and quit supplying to the Slick 50 manufacturer...

If it seems too good to be true, it is.
