Anyone Install an AirDog in the Engine Compartment?
I am so close to buying an AirDog FP100, but was wondering in anyone installed it in the engine compartment?
I’ve seen a lot of rigs with the AD FP-100 installed / attached to the truck or bed rails, and in the rear wheel wells. But for a preventive measure against the possibility of the Air Dog being stolen, I was thinking about it being installed under the hood (out of sight).
Also, if you did, was there anything else that you needed to purchase aside from the AD FP100 installation kit?
If you did install it under the hood, can you please attach pictures so that I can see where you did? That would be appreciated. Or if you want you can email the pictures to c4stan@gmail.com
I don’t plan on bombing the truck so the ‘stock’ space under the hood is what it is.

I don't have one, but I don't know how you would do it easily. I could see you mounting it under the intake manifold but don't think it would be easy at all to change the filters.
Somebody else may come along and have done it or give you better suggestions.
Good luck and please post pictures if you do this!

it would be a cool install under the hood but the biggest reason everyone installs the pump near the tank on the framerail is because a pump is more effective pushing fluid than pulling it.. One of the reasons that the old style puller lift pumps from factory was changed out for intanks.. honestly if someone is gonna steal your stuff they are gonna get it if they want it bad enough.. why put it in a spot where they have to tear your truck up more to get it?? I live in Vegas and crime here sucks but i worry about my wheels waaaay before my FASS...
