i got a 07 5.9l auto and i was wondering if anyone ever adjusted the kick-down cable on these. On my 94 when i put bigger tires on it i adjusted that cable to raise my shift points with success. Other than paying a couple hundred for shift enhansers to do this why not just adjust this cable.

No cable as far as I know. All electric and controlled by a computer I believe.

i havent got a chance to look in there yet. just wondering if anyone heard or tired this.

04, when they removed the engine mounted APPS, they also went to solenoid/diaphram(?) throttle valve control.

The 04.5+ years have a device under the driver's side battery, I think...., and there is a way/proceedure to adjust it, do a search for TV Cable, or throttle valve cable, or throttle valve control for 04.5+ trucks.

I was reading about this not that long ago, I believe on this forum.
