any update on the APPS sensors for our 04.5s and up?

any update on the APPS sensors for our 04.5s and up?
I had a problem not too long ago
with my 3500, throwin code P2121 and P2122, both dealing with the APPS sensor on my truck, (auto trans). I recently found a brand new apps for 300 plus dollars, and put it on and after resetting the sensor, i have not had problems with it (knock on wood).
Question is, i know that the APPS sensors are on back order nationally, and arent available until November as far as i know... BUT has any aftermarket company such as TIMBREN or anyone else attempted to solve the issue with these trucks?
Its quite awesome piece of mind to drive a towing machine, but with the APPS issues in the back of your head, kinda makes you wanna go back to a 12V..
