Any sticker after comp. update?

Is the dealer required at all to mark a vehicle as having any computer reflash/update done to it. Just got back from the dealer and they did an update on the truck but that is all the shop report or service guy said. No markings such as a sticker etc. on my truck anywhere. In process of questioning the manager on what he did. I requested the 18-037-04 and all it says is "update". Any ideas?

I had mine done and the dealer put a tag on the radiator support with the flash number on it.
In the TSB it says:
NOTE: The following step is required by law.

Type the necessary information on the 'Authorized Modification Label" p/n 04275086AB and attach near the VECI label (Fig. 2).

So the dealer is required by law to put a sticker on the car explaining the re-flash.

Seems to be a hit or miss thing, regardless what the TSB says about law and all. A bunch of us didn't get stickers. When i questioned the service manager, it turned out they didn't even have the stickers in stock.

I got a sticker on the radiator support, showing the TSB number. Didn't ask for the sticker, but it was there. I think it's required that the dealer install it.

Thanks for all your info guys. I haven't had a response worth noting yet from the frigin dealer. However, I haven't checked for a sticker on the ECM, where can I find it? Maybe if I parked my truck in the bay sideways they would give me a straight answer. Going to visit them soon. Oh and on the service stub, it only says downloaded update for computer. Which computer...yours or my truck?...or is that what you were doing when you should have been flashing my truck? Ahh just a little anoid.

Thanks again everyone.

Had it done Nov. 1st. No sticker on mine, but the service tag does say 18-037-04. My truck was the first one they did, in fact they did not know anything about it when I made my appointment to have it done. They said they are going to call a couple of their customers that had that same problem to bring their truck in to get the flash. I think DC should make it mandatory for Dealers to follow these forums.
