Randy's Ring and Pinion is still saying they are in the R&D but should have something very soon. This was about a month ago I talked to them.

I can't belive the aftermarket gear manufactures are taking so long since the demand has to be very high. You would also think AAM would have done something fast to cover the market before the aftermarket guys did. I'm sure they heard complaints from the very begining.

AAM is the one producing the 3.42 ring gear set for the 9.5 and 11.5 rear ends. I called AAM earlier this week but the person in charge of sales has yet to return my call. Then again I have not followed up but will on monday.

This would be GREAT if it materializes. I believe it could drop the rpm's down to what the auto's have at highway speeds. I love the truck and the trans...but I keep trying to shift into...7th. Count me in. Yes if ANYONE has any info...please post ASAP, and thanks.

That's mine concern with towing. Not a big issue for the 6spd manual owners but can be for owners of the 4 spd auto.

For those of us with 4x4's it's probably almost as much to change both axles out as buying and under or overdrive unit from gear vendors. Even a set of tires and rims in 19.5 for the srw trucks or a set of 35's would give you about the same effect. I went to 245/70-19.5's on my SRW 3500 which brought the ratio to around 3:50 (from 3:73).

'I have 35s and want my gears higher still so I can go 70+ without the engine screamingIf I have to run in a lower gear around the hills so be it.
