Any issues with an '06 5.9?

In my search for another CTD, I came across a 2006 with 6sp stick The truck has about 76k miles. I have a few questions.

1) Any issues or known problems on that year engine?
2) Would it have the G56?
3) Does it have the infamous dual mass flywheel? If so, is the stock clutch nearing its end?

Any other thoughts greatly appreciated. Oh, my wife wants to know if it would be as loud as my '01 HO was?

Thanks

Bob

Blue smoke usually means oil, right? There's no problem with a little smoke upon a cold start?

oil or fuel. mine is fuel. I have an injector leaking. but not bad enought for the dealer to put in a new one. yet. but you can loose an injector on any of them.

Watch out for the #4 fuel line to crack. This isnt just on 06's but all third gens and we've seemed to have an epidemic around here the last 3 weeks. Seems that most trucks have 60k plus mileage on the ticker.

On my 06 I had bad ball joints at 36k. And now the blinker issue, where you have the left blinker on and the right blinker blinks with it every once in awhile. Other than that my 06 has been a tank.

Everything that has broke on my truck has been self infected, Clutch,Rear Drive shaft, And I did ball joints ( I am sure my truck tires shortened the life a little their)

The only thing that has quite working is the windshield washer fluid

we run three 06's replaced all three dmf with south bend. each failed at about 60k miles replaced two #4 injectors have noise on door but has not failed the red coolant hose leak problem on all three the g56 is geared different in 06's than newer. i think there is less problems in the 06 than most other models this is just some more common to this model

107K miles on mine. Had injectors replaced under warranty early on. The '06 only came with G56 or the auto. The G56 is mated to a DMF. My clutch held an extra 65 HP until about 90K miles, then started slipping. I still haven't replaced the clutch, but I am about to pull the trigger on a SB or a Valair. I put a set of front brake pads on recently, but could have gone further. Front pinion seal at 70K miles, and last week end my rear pinion seal which had been seeping (no drips) finally started leaking in earnest. The new seal goes in this Saturday.
