Any major issues w/ 03' CTD ????
After owning & driving my 00' for 200,000 miles, dealing w/ tranny problems, fuel pump problems, ball joints etc., I dove into an 03' H.O. w/ a 6 speed. I almost went over the edge (I hate to admit it) I did look at a few Fords and G.M.s. I hope I do not get kicked out of the club for just looking. With a bit of research I came to the conclusion that they all have their own issues so I stayed with the Cummins. So far I'm petty happy about it. It sure drives nice. I plan on putting my gauges in as soon as I find a place to put em (Any suggestions?) My biggest concern is the lift pump. I was looking around for it and could not locate it. My best guess it's in the tank. I'm guessing I will be dealing with the same problems witht the lift pump as I had with my old one. I went through 4 stock lift pumps in 200,000 miles. I went to the 6 speed manual to get away from the auto problems. For some reason every automatic I've driven for a period of time has shelled out. Must be my driving habits.(?) Any issues with the 6 speed? Any other advice is appreaciated. I hope you all will let me be in the 3rd generation club. I have paid my dues.
Thanks!
Thanks!

yup, pump is in the same spot as your 2000.
but i think they are a little better, because not as many problems as those noisier 2000 and 2001's
when it goes, or even before it does, get a Fass, or something similar and you won't look back.

So, far they replaced the driveshaft and u-joints, front left u-joint. I have a small vibration (think the carrier bearing needs to be lowered). During temps under 30 I have a owl 'who-ing' noise at about 23mph. Dealer says they can't hear it. Other than that I'm happy with the truck.
