I am getting rerady to make an appointment at the dealer before the 36k comes up. Are there any free plug-ins I can ask for while they have it? I have a Alldata TSB on the door gaskets, says it is free as long as it comes in before warranty expires. That is number one on the list. I heard mention of a high idle control enabled, and the fog light staying on with the high beams. These are 2 good things I could use, should they be free? How about block heaters? Any advise?

Doesnt that depend on what state you are in? I thought some states would allow up to four forward facing white driving lights and not cosider them illegal?

 

Would the fog lights staying on with the high beams be a TSB? IF so where would I find it!

I already know I need to get the TSB 18-022-06 for the P-0514 code I am throwing now.

But I don't see TSB's for the other stuff!

 

The dealer turned on my fog lights with high beams. Much better improvement. I dont think it is illegal.

Why would fogs on with high beam be illegal. Who does it effect, you should dim your lights when you meet an oncoming vehicle any way.

Since you have the auto, I've read they'll give you the free "safety" program to sound your horn when you open the door while backing. Some dealers will do it, even if you don't ask for it! What swell folks.

 

TSB = Technical Service Bulletin.

They are meant to address maintenance issues and chronic technical problems.
