On my 05 there is this decal under the hood. Has anyone serviced the front driveshaft like it say's on the decal.And how do You grease it with a needle,what kind of grease.Thank's Rob.

 

No way they finally put a zert (grease nipple) on the front u-joint? If DC went to the trouble and paper work there should be a zert at the cross of the joint. No this is to good to be true...... internet?

My old Jeep trucks had a grease cup in the CV joint. You had to use a grease needle in the gun to service it and it was a pain. You had to get the driveshaft just right to get the needle in the cup. As for the u-joints you had to use the needle also. Too tight of an angle to get a regular grease tube in there.

 

Yes. Use a needle point adapter on your grease gun. Mine is a lincoln. Just use regular ep chassis grease or better.

 

I'll just replace mine with real u-joints thanx
