Another U-Joint
Another U-Joint
Just had another U-joint go on me. Its the one in the front drive shaft so I baiscally lost my 4X4. Does anyone have a part number for a front drive shaft u-joint from NAPA or somewhere else that I might not need to make a special order. Its -20 outside and 3 feet of snow
, and I don't feel comfortable gatting another dealer u-joint. Thanks in advance.

I've noticed that the dealers don't always give you OEM but will charge you OEM price!!
Wherever you get it, get a spicer. You can find them at driveline/friction shops, napa might have them.
Check to see if your existing joint is a spicer, if it is, I would suggest the "Brute Force" by spicer. No grease zurk, and solid all the way through. You can't service it, but you get a lot more strength.
Good luck... I don't blame you for not wanting to get burned again. Tis not the season to be wrench'n... too **** cold
