Another A/C thread
If you can, you need to get a set of gauges hooked to the system. That will tell us so much more about what is going on. Be sure to include what the out side air temp and the inside air temp is. The past times that you have had it charged has someone be putting a vacuum on it or have you just been putting refrigerant in?

The pressures tell you more than just the level of refrigerant in the system, they are very diagnostically useful. But I understand, you have had as much as you can take trying to fix it yourself. Take it to a good shop that knows what they are doing and you should be fine.
