Amsoil MTF vs. Redline MTL

What's the verdict on this, the search feature brings up a lot of old stuff before MTF was around. -E

Red line hi shock is great, the viscosity is like 50-250, pretty well covers the whole range, Ive used it and never had a problem on my old trucks.

you mean the film thickness is like a 75w-250 (according to their website).
The actual viscosity is still a 75w-90.

but you bring up a good point. the ability of an oil to protect has a lot to do with the film strength. This is where a good (& real) synthetic are worth their weight in gold.... they can achieve superior film strength without having to make the oil thick as molasses.

I'm using Amsoil MTF. Works well for me. Haven't tried Redline MTL so I can't compare.

I am going to try some Amsoil, I should mention this is an NV5600 specific question and I am referring to the 5W-30 Synchromesh our transmissions require.
