Alternator Bracket Cracked (Dealer says not covered warranty)

the alternator bracket is supplied with the engine by Cummins to the vehicle assembly plant, how does it not have anything to do with the motor?
I could see the alternator being a 3/36 as it is supplied by DC and put on the engine at the vehicle assembly plant.
I think we agree that it should be covered either way, so it doesn't really matter.

I just checked and sure enough it’s cracking. I will get one ordered and put it on my self. Is there an aftermarket bracket I should look at?
I spend the entire day looking it over, it looks really clean, and there seems to be much more room than a v8 to work in. It sure is a monster engine though! I am finally getting used to the way it drives; it is so much different than a gasser.

But it doesn't really matter, since DC buys them with no warranty and supplies the warranty themself. In that case, they can cover or not cover whatever parts they please...
Since you want to be technical, that would be against the law and you could sue them for not honoring an explicitly written warranty.

I'm at 35,000 miles. They replaced the alternator bracket and installed the window felt without complaint.
They refused to address my "Check engine light" as they felt it was related to the brake light circuit (brake light circuit Dx code per the tech but not one on my Bullydog Downloader.....)and therefore potentially related to my exhaust brake installation
They also fefused to address the 65 mph vibration due to my leveling kit.

I just replaced my alternator bracket, the difference is ridiculous! The original is just a piece of steel bent to make a bracket. The new one is a nice piece of forged steel. I don’t think this one will be breaking any time soon.
