Just got my truck back from the shop after my front end was toast. Glad to report that my u-joints, ball joints, axle shafts, and hub bearings were bone dry after 65k. Shop installed Moog greaseable (yes, greaseable!!!) stuff and I am happy so far. I don't feel so bad that at 65k I had to replace my front end stuff because a buddy of mine had to replace his at 30k and another friend's father just had his done at 20k. At least I got 3 years out of the stock stuff......

 

Did you have the dealer install the Moog Parts? My truck is sitting at dealer now for same problem. Blown front u-joints and the dealer just called and said all 4 ball joints are blown and it will cost me 480 a side to fix. They are charging me 2 hours labor per side even though they already will have the hubs off under warranty for U-joints. What a rip off. They also asked me if I had any controllers on the truck since they saw the performace exhaust and intake. They wanted to make sure before they reflashed my computer because the tranny is also having issues. So they claim they will have to reprogram the controller. Oh well so much for my new plasma TV. I guess I can watch my wheels go round instead

 

Glad i live in bone dry So Cal. No rivers, no salt, no mud bogs, I can't afford 'em.
