Unhappy ah hem....fuel oil

just wondering if it is possible to run heating oil in the 3rd gen motors without killing it? Sorry to be sooo stupid haha

Answer is Yes, it's the same stuff, since Maine is a California emissions state also (IE no VW diesels) even your home heating oil is the low sulfur stuff so the only difference is the dye. With that said, if for some reason DOT decides to check your tank you will be fined if they find red fuel in there and the fines are pretty big. Some states do check pickups not used for commercial use.
