Oh....by the way.....to use high idle, You first turn it on ( the cruise ) then press set.....then use accel/decel to adjust rpm's. Some have said to push the acell button toi engage, but I believe you have to push set first. Try that first! I'm still looking for the instructions that were posted here a while back.

Thanks guys I really appreciate the help. By the way, I tried to press the set button first, along with numerous other variations, still no go. I just gotta get it enabled.

Man, dealerships are Schmucks! I just called my dealership and asked about getting the high idle enabled. He told me it would be $85.10 to have it done. I asked "$85.10 for 10 minutes of work?". His reply was "Trust me, there is alot more work to it than just 10 minutes on a scanner."

Now, I bought the truck there, get service done there, and have bought parts there! What happened to customer service??? Oh well, I guess thats another post.

Ask if they would consider doing it while the truck is getting the latest flash and the tech already has the Starscan tool hooked up? You know there are some new flash updates out! I know the starscan is expensive , and they are trying to recoupe some of the money spent on it, but daggone it anyhow! How much does a guy have to spend to get a little preference every now and again!?!? Talk to your saleman about it too. Tell him it'll be his last sale if he can't get a little cooperation out of HIS service department for a conveinience FEATURE that HAS to be enabled with a Starscan.

MTC.I'd call him back and say lets all stand togather and enable my high idle and see how much longer from start to finish reading these instructions it takes.Bet him .3 of a hour or less.

They would probably have to take the truck in the shop, and don't allow customers in the shop "for insurance reasons", and yadda, yadda, yadda! I always told my customers that I "welcomed" them in the shop. I have absolutely nothing to hide, and it is their 40k vehicle if they wanna watch! I'd be leary of any shop without windows, or that won't you in the shop. They obviously have "something" to hide!

Heck they can enable high idle on the service drive or parking lot for that matter.
