ABS pump wont stop running

ABS pump wont stop running
Got in my 04 truck this morning stepped on the break and the break light came on and the abs light. I shut the motor off and the abs pump would not stop running. I had to pull the abs pump fuse to get it to stop. Any one have any idea what the deal is with that?
