ABS and Brake lights coming on.
ABS and Brake lights coming on.
I'm on vacation right now, was rolling down I-5 with the Lance 8'6" in the bed and my bass boat behind me, and the ABS and Brake lights came on, and got a chime too...just a single chime when they came on. I pulled off the next exit and checked things out. All is well. Cycled key for codes and have nothing. All fluids look fine. Brakes checked out fine a couple weeks ago. Truck has 33k on it. After I got back in the lights were gone, drove for about 10 min and they came back on. Drove like that for several hours. Every time I get out and shut her down, they're gone until about another 10ish minutes of driving. Truck stops fine and performs flawlessly. Any ideas what this means? (all tire pressures are fine too). I'll be checking back in a few days. Thanks!

How are your hubs feeling?? My hubs started going bad and then it threw the abs/brake light just like yours, used the scan tool and it showed front left abs sensor being bad which was the bad hub, read it on here that sometimes when the hub is going bad since the thing isnt aligned perfectly it will throw the abs/brake light. Changed both front hubs and everything has been great since although then again I do have more then 300k plus miles then you when mine went out...
Just got home, put about 1700 miles total this trip. I did notice one thing on the way back. I used cruise most of the time. Right before it would pop the lights on, the motor would surge for about a second, and about 10 seconds later it would surge again and then the lights came on. I'll look it over good in a few days. Prolly will take it to dealer cause I'm still under warranty. That and the ac doesn't seem to be quite up to par after running in the 90 degree weather in California yesterday. Thanks for the help so far!
