well i got into my truck this morning and started it up and man did it idle rough for about 5 seconds .. but it did clear up and ran nice .. then i let it run for a bout 2 Min's and shut it off and did the same thing .. really, really rough idle and then cleared up after about 5 seconds ... never has done this before .. then went for a nice long drive and came home and let it sit for about 2 hours .. came out and started again and it was fine ???? weird ??!! anybody had this happen to them ??? injector , ??? lift pump ??? .. any info would be great .. thanks

It happened to me for the first time last Monday.
I have a bad habit of changing my fuel filter and just closing it up and that’s it.

Wake up the next morning and take off. Well it was shaking like a leaf at every light.
Couple of kid drop offs and it was gone. Has not happened since.

 

This has happened to me and when taken to dealership for them to look at they came back with just carbon build-up on the injectors. Just add some addative and run it like you stole it and not baby it.

 

I bet that's got alot to do with mine, I haven't run B20 in about 6k miles and not used any Power Service in 20k+.

 

hey thanks for the responses guys, i run 500 ml of mmo/ps every single fill up .. but yes it could be carbon bulid up the truck hasn't been run hard for over a month .. we are off on the long weekend coming up with camper and the quads so i hope to burn the carbon off then ...

mine did that EXACT same thing took it to the dealership and they put a new injector in it and it hasn't done it since.

 

did it continue to do it ?? got in it to go to work this morning and it started like a dream ... so hopefully it was something that was mentioned above
