5w-30w Amsoil

I was talking to an AMSOIL rep about bypass filters, that's another thread, and she recommended that with what ever bypass kit I decide to go with, I should run their 5W-30W synthetic. She said that this would give me another 2-3 miles per gallon. Has anyone ran this viscosity of their oil and seen an increase in mileage?

I have the 5w30 in my truck and picked up about 1.5 extra mpg. I know some think 5w30 is to light of an oil but my truck runs better and quiter then when it had 5w40 Rotella synthetic in it.

The HDD 5W-30 is a thick 30 weight. It will be fine in a CTD.

Sounds like I'll be switching when I go to the bypass filter set-up.

Thanks for the replies, nothing negative so far!
