545RFE Lockup Shudder
My Wife’s WJ has developed a lockup shudder after 150k miles. I changed the filters and fluid (ATF 4), no change. Thought maybe her alternator had leaky diodes, but before I could check it the thing grounded and took out the battery. Replaced them and the trans acted perfectly normal for two days, then started suddering the lockup again. Figured the TCM was damaged, replaced with one that has the latest firmware on the eprom, no difference at all. I am at a loss.
Any ideas?
